How the flashcards work
Five boxes, one rule
Every word moves through five boxes. Get it right and it moves up a box and waits longer. Miss it and it goes back to box 1, so you see it again tomorrow.
- 1Tomorrow
- 2In 2 days
- 3In 4 days
- 4In a week
- 5In 2 weeks, then monthly
This is spaced repetition. Each word comes back just before you would forget it, so a few minutes a day is enough.
Tips that make words stick
- Say every word out loud. Press play, then repeat it. Your mouth remembers too.
- Learn nouns with de or het. The cards always show het huis, never just huis.
- Come back every day. Three short sessions beat one long one, and your streak grows.
- Be honest when you flip. “Not yet” is not a failure. It brings the word back sooner.
Keyboard shortcuts
Space flip · 1 not yet · 2 I knew it · D / H de or het · Enter next
